The workmanship is outstanding and the attention to detail is second to none - they really do not make things like this any more.
On the feathers you can see the small detailing on the tips there are prong Persian Turquoise half cabochons - these are a tiny 2mm in size so they give just the right amount of color without overwhelming the piece (or adding weight!)
On his tummy there is a beautiful pearl 9.3mm in diameter - it has a beautiful nacre - it could very well be a natural pearl given the quality of this piece - but we have no way of confirming without removing it and looking inside! So for the purpose of this listing we will just say high quality unknown pearl!
He has some more turquoise on the top of his head along with natural red ruby for an eye.
When you turn him over the manufacturing quality is evident, thick shiny gold along with a curved arm and a trombone clasp for a secure closure.
The condition overall is excellent - we did notice when we examined it under 16x power loupe that one of the turquoise stones sustained a teeny chip (on top of the head)- this is not noticeable with the naked eye - but we are mentioning for accuracy.
